Children’s Sunday School and Church We love our kids at Grace! Each Sunday we have Sunday School for them, and a children’s church service during our regular worship service. Our Children’s Ministry staff are all well-trained and experienced in ministering to kids. Sundays, 9:00-10:00 am (no Children’s Sunday School during July and August)

PSU Chinese Christian Fellowship  Grace Bible Church is honored to host a Chinese student and scholar fellowship ministry on Sunday afternoons.  ESL, a meal, and a great time of teaching and worship!  For more information, please contact Pastor Ken.

Saturday Morning Coffee  That\'s right, folks!  Right in the middle of downtown Portland, every Saturday morning on the sidewalk in front of our church, we serve coffee, prayer, and encouragement to our neighbors, and any passing by.  Please contact John Mathies, Dick Ebert, or Johnny Ayers, or call the church office for more information.

Kaffeeklatsch Bible Study This women’s Bible study meets on 1^st and 3^rd Tuesdays in SE Portland at 10 am. Often lunch is shared afterwards.

Family Home Group  This group meets at the Collins home in Gresham on Saturday evening, biweekly.  We share a meal and Bible study related to marriage and children.  Kids are welcome!  For more information, please contact Pastor Ken (pastor@graceportland.org) or Keane Collins (kmaacollins@verizon.net)

Women\'s Bible Study Join us every other Monday evening in the Hafner House (the parsonage located next door to the church), as we work through the book of Galations.  We\'re using Pastor Tim Keller\'s studyguide "Galations: Living in line with the gospel" For more information, please contact April Burnham peabodysplace@gmail.com 

 

Coffee Hour Once a month we hold a Coffee Hour after the Sunday worship service. This is a time to relax, catch-up, and share some refreshments.  We can always use help preparing, serving and cleaning up! Coordinator: Alan Benson

Hot Dog Sundays May through August we fire up a barbeque on the corner in front of our church and serve hotdogs to our neighbors on SW 12th and Clay.  Besides sharing a light meal with our neighbors, we often find opportunities to pray with them, and speak with them about Jesus!  Some grab a dog on their way home from worship, others stick around to chat with friends.  Please join us!  We can always use help with set-up, serving, and clean-up.   Annie Ziegle annieziegle@verizon.net, 

Portland Rescue Mission Grace Bible Church has a long history of support and partnership in ministry with Portland Rescue Mission. As a downtown/urban church, we are very familiar with the challenges and issues of alcholism and chemical dependancy, and with the overwhelming love and solid hope the gospel provides to all who struggle with addiction!  On the first Monday of each month we serve at PRM’s evening service, working in the dining hall, conducting a brief chapel service, and assisting in the care of guests. Ric Drury ricdrury@qwestoffice.net.

Anniversary Celebration Our church was founded in downtown Portland in 1874, and has ministered continuously ever since!  On the last Sunday in September we hold a German-Swiss themed pot-luck after our morning service in celebration of our long history in ministry here in downtown Portland, and of the new members who have joined our fellowship. Strudel and sausage provided, but you’ll have to bring your own lederhosen!

Church Picnic and Baptism Each year we gather at the bank of the Willamette River and baptize believers. Afterwards, we enjoy a day of fellowship and picnicking.  Please contact Pastor Ken for more information, pastor@graceportland.org.  

Good Friday Services At noon and at 7pm on Good Friday (the Friday before Easter Sunday) we gather for a reflective time of worship and the reading of the Bible’s account of the suffering and crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thanksgiving Eve Service We gather on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving Day for a time of fellowship, worship, and refreshments.

Christmas Eve Service  A brief yet meaningful worship service to celebrate the Greatest Gift, our Lord Jesus Christ!  Christmas Eve, 5pm, Grace Bible Church.

 

Pregnancy Resource Center We support the efforts of the Pregnancy Resource Center to protect and advocate for unborn children and to ministry to mothers, and to men and women who have experienced abortion related trauma.

Food Pantry We stock a modest food pantry of non-perishable foods, and can always use contributions of smaller cans of foods that are appropriate for a single meal, preferably with a pull-top.  For more information, please contact  Alan Benson, through our church office.
