I became a Christian when I was a teenager, and after a few years in the military, spent 23 years working as a paramedic here in Portland. In 2003 I completed my training at Western Seminary, and was called to be pastor of Grace Bible Church the next year. Of course, there's a lot more to my story that just that--like the whole ongoing story of God's tender and miraculous deliverance of my life--before, AND after I became a follower of Jesus. My personal experience of Christianity has seemed like one lesson after another teaching me of my desperate need for God's daily touch in my life-- forgiving, empowering, assuring, and loving me. Not a smooth path, by any means, but always one that leads closer to God. If that rings a bell of consistency with your spiritual experience, you'd feel right at home at Grace Bible Church.
Please visit our church anytime -- all are welcome.
Blessings,
Pastor Ken
